The Architectural Control Committee is made up of your friends and neighbors who voluntarily give of their time and talents to serve on this committee.
This is my first full year chairing the committee and I want to recognize your neighbors that serve with me to make up your ACC.
David Fritz. Immediate past Chairperson and Our Community Web Master
Diane de Guzman, Robin Baum, Marilyn Isby, our Newest Member Stella Pritchard, and our BOD representative is Arnold Ruben. Together these 8 people serve as your ACC
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) was created by our By-Laws Article 9 Section 1 and as defined in our By-Laws “The Architectural Control Committee shall have the authority to adopt, amend and enforce Architectural Control Guidelines”. Our By-Laws are the legal document that outline a set of standards and regulations for living in our community.
The Architectural Control Committee exists to preserve these standards. Where the By-Laws are vague or silent, the Architectural Control Committee provides guidelines to as our By-Laws say maintain the “Aesthetic Balance with Consistency, Uniformity, Harmony and Compatibility” of our community.
To that end, a set of Guidelines has been developed over 25 years by dozens of different people serving on the ACC to help everyone understand what is acceptable and what is not.
This year we
- Updated the format of all the Guidelines to make the format more consistent.
- Finished the work on our community web site and lunched the full site.
- Received 29 Request for Approval .
3 Generators Installations
6 House Re-Paint Requests
2 Driveway Paver Requests
2 Pool Deck Refurbish Requests
8 Re-Roof Requests
1 Gutters Replacement Request
4 Storm Shutters Request
3 Window Replacement Requests
ALL 29 or 100% of the requests were APPORVED.
28 of the requests were approved is submitted and 1 was approved with a modification
Again, ALL 29 request submitted were approved.
Guidelines are not a list of what you can’t do. They are a list of how TO do.
We all enjoy the BENEFITS of living in the DEED RESTRICITED neighborhood. It is a quite peaceful and harmonious community.
It is our Documents and Guidelines that make our community what it is. Without the guidelines all decisions would be subjective. Subjective decisions are personal. They create discord and pit neighbor against neighbor. With guidelines providing clarity we can all live in harmony as long as everyone follows the guidelines.
You may feel “restricted” because you want to do something outside of the guidelines.
but ask yourself is what you want to do creating Aesthetic Balance with Consistency, Uniformity, Harmony in our community and with your neighbors or are you trying to do something that all about YOU something that is going to be out of balance with our community and create discord with your neighbors?
This wonderful community was built on a shared desired to be in Harmony and a willingness to make it less about ourselves and more about living together.
Thank you to all our neighbors that work with the ACC make the effort to keep our community Aesthetic Balance with Consistency, Uniformity, Harmony.
Thank you to our terrific Board of Directors and thank you again, to all the folks on the ACC that serve with me.
