Architectural Control Committee
The Architectural Control Committee is made up of your friends and neighbors who voluntarily give of their time and talents to serve on this committee.
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) was created by our By-Laws Article IX Section 1 and as defined in our By-Laws “The Architectural Control Committee shall have the authority to adopt, amend and enforce Architectural Control Guidelines”.
Our By-Laws are the legal document that outline a set of standards and regulations for living in our community. The Architectural Control Committee exists to preserve these standards. Where the By-Laws are vague or silent, the Architectural Control Committee provides guidelines to maintain the “Aesthetic Balance with Consistency, Uniformity, Harmony and Compatibility” of our community.
To that end, a set of Guidelines has been developed over the years to help everyone understand what is acceptable and what is not.
Before making any change to the exterior of your home or property, find out if there are written guidelines for your improvement. Do not start your improvement prior to receiving written approval from the Architectural Control Committee. (See the Forms and Documents page for detailed instructions)
You must submit a Request Form to make any changes to any part of the exterior of your home or property. Do not assume that if it's not explicitly stated in the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of ACC Guidelines that there are no standards.
The Architectural Control Committee must approve all improvements prior to work starting. (See the Forms and Documents page for detailed instructions)
Your contractor might be telling you that they've done several of these in this community, they have a hole in their schedule and could start tomorrow, any number of tactics to get you committed but don't do it. Doing so could cause you to have to remove what you've started and postpone the work.
We the volunteers of the Architectural Control Committee appreciate your help in keeping our community beautiful and special.
